Content and Language Mastery

In our Primary 1 programme, students will learn basic language skills, including:

• Simple grammar like pronouns and adjectives

• Basic tenses (past, present, future)

• Everyday phrases, idioms, and similar words

Skills and Techniques

We use fun activities to help students practice important language skills:

• Speaking: Children will learn to share their ideas confidently and speak in front of others.

• Reading and Writing: Students will understand key ideas in simple stories and learn how to answer questions.
  They will also begin writing short stories using pictures and simple descriptions to make their stories more fun.

Contextualized Learning

Students will explore fun and interesting themes that relate to the real world, such as:

• Science and technology in daily life

• Famous cities

• Sports and entertainment

Content Mastery

Students will learn important math concepts like:

• Number sense, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division

• Ordinal numbers, money, length, time, 2D shapes, patterns, and picture graphs
  They will use problem-solving methods like making lists, drawing diagrams, and restating the problem to solve word problems.

Skills and Techniques
Students will:

• Draw models to represent word problems (part-whole and comparison models)

• Use methods like making lists, finding patterns, and restating problems to solve challenges

• Learn to use tools like rulers and measuring tapes to measure lengths and draw line segments

• Develop critical thinking with challenging problems and Math Olympiad exercises

Applied Learning
Students will:

• Use hands-on activities and tools in class, like collecting data from classmates to create graphs and analyze data

• Review concepts using special concept cards, story-based revision booklets, and take-home materials

• Discover how math connects to the real world through arts, crafts, and presentations, such as designing buildings using shapes and patterns.
